A Letter from the New Owners Welcome! Dr. Kenny Crawford and Dr. Karyn Waterman acquired ownership of Lawndale Veterinary Hospital on August 8, 2007. Dr. Crawford has been at Lawndale for sixteen years, and Dr. Waterman has practiced here for five years. After purchasing the clinic, the new owners immediately implemented changes to their employees’ benefit package. Lawndale Veterinary Hospital now offers health insurance and competitive salaries to its employees. A profit sharing plan is in the works to further compensate the work staff. All doctors have been awarded a whole day off in the middle of the week to compensate for the long weekend hours. Finally, our front desk employees have new, attractive uniforms and are under an incentive plan to serve the customers in the friendliest and most competent manner. It is the philosophy of Drs. Crawford and Waterman to take excellent care of their employees so that they will better serve you, the clients. As veterinarians, Drs. Crawford and Waterman feel blessed to practice the profession they love; as a result, they want to give back to the community. Every month they financially contribute to a different charity. Thus far, Freedom House, Special Olympics, Joanne Gaddy Grimes Cancer Research fund, and Horsepower have topped the list. Also, they contribute their time and resources to help animal advocacy groups and worthwhile rescue groups. Dr. Waterman volunteers regularly with Feral Cat Adoption and Placement organizing and participation in the spay/neater of feral cats. Our hospital also works with Greyhound Friends, Friends Forever, The Natural Science Center, Triad Rabbit Reserve, National Brittany Rescue, New England Brittany Rescue, National Boxer Rescue, and Wildlife Care Inc. Next fall, we hope to get an architect to draw up plans to renovate our kennel to improve your pets’ visit at Lawndale Veterinary Hospital. Our staff hopes to see you soon. |
